The Society of Typographic Arts recognizes outstanding achievements in Chicago graphic design.

All selected works become part of the Chicago Design Archive permanent collection.

Submission deadline is 23 July 2011 at 8:00pm.
Last-chance deadline is 30 July 2011 at 8:00pm.

Instructions:

  1. Download an entry form
    Sorry, the submission deadline has passed.

  2. Collect all of your best work produced between January 1, 2010 through July 30, 2011. Except for student work, all print submissions must be actual, finished samples. If you want your work back, please indicate that on the entry form. After the Gala, you will be sent an email about the day, time and location for pick up.

  3. Fill out a Submission Entry form for each piece submitted. Attach two copies of the Entry form to the back of the entry (use removable tape only—no staples, no paper clips, please). For a collection of items submitted as a “Print Campaign” or “Identity Package,” please keep all elements together in an envelope, and attach entry forms to the outside.

    Complete one Master Entry form and make payment by check or money order, payable to: The Society of Typographic Arts

  4. Securely package all submission, all paperwork and payments, and deliver to:

    The STA cannot notify senders of packages received—please arrange with your courier for delivery confirmation.

    Attach two completed copies of the entry form to the back of each piece submitted. For Campaign/Package entries, attach two copies to the outside of an envelope containing all pieces entered under the collection.

    Please enter all info as you want to see it. If selected, this is credit information on certificates, the CDA and the STA websites, and for other attributions to the work.

Can the judges enter?

No. Archive11 judges and creative team are prohibited from entering their work. They are granted an additional year of eligibility and can enter this year’s work in Archive12.
